Doko Demo Info The person responsible for all of the cuteness to your right is Tomikazu Kirita, Product Marketing Manager at SCE and a supervisor on Toro and the Shooting Star. Tasked with creating a character-driven PocketStation title back in the late ’90s, Kirita got to work forming a communication game starring a cast of cute creatures. Originally Doko Demo Issyo was supposed to have up to 32 different characters, but that was pared down to 16, 8 and finally 5. Some ideas stuck, such as Suzuki — others didn’t, like an ape and a penguin, even whiskers for Toro. As for the future of the franchise, Kirita doesn’t rule out a return to the portable world, but of course he doesn’t want to say much else.
